About Q-pons
Q-pons is an independent, creator-safe directory of verified SaaS promo codes. We aggregate discounts from affiliate networks, vendor pricing pages, and YouTube creator content — with ethical attribution built into every line of code.
Why we exist
In December 2024, YouTuber MegaLag exposed that Honey — the most popular coupon extension with 20M+ users — was systematically hijacking affiliate commissions from content creators via last-click attribution. Multiple class-action lawsuits followed. Creators lost trust in the entire coupon aggregator industry.
We built Q-pons to show that coupon aggregation can be done ethically. Every code in our database has a show_affiliate_link flag. Creator codes (vanity codes from YouTubers) bypass our affiliate wrapper entirely. Their commission stays theirs. Always.
How we make money
We earn affiliate commissions on generic promo codes — deals that aren't attributed to any specific creator (e.g. SAVE20, ANNUAL30). When you click through our affiliate link and purchase, we get a small commission at no extra cost to you. Simple, transparent, ethical.
Q-pons is 100% free for users. No accounts, no subscriptions, no premium tiers. Just a clean directory of real deals.
The stack
Q-pons runs on Next.js + Supabase (EU/Stockholm) with Python scrapers that check vendor pricing pages, affiliate network APIs, and YouTube content. Scraped data is validated by an AI model (Groq Cloud llama-3.3-70b) before being stored. No tracking cookies, GDPR compliant, privacy-first.
What we scrape — and what we don’t
- Vendor pricing pages (their own content)
- YouTube video descriptions (publicly attributed)
- Reddit and public forums
- Product Hunt launches
- Authorized affiliate network APIs (we’re a partner)
- Curated deal aggregators (Secret.com, NachoNacho)
- Exclusive deals negotiated for other platforms
- Member-only or login-walled content
- Any content that violates ToS or fair use
Q-pons won’t scrape another aggregator’s curated database. That would be stealing their work — the same pattern we built Q-pons to oppose.
